Shandra's Photography

I'm doing a series on dance... these were just my beginning ideas.

We had a candle lighting ceremony for Michael Jackson in our parking lot complete with candles and a eulogy. It was a lot of fun and some of my pictures for it were printed in the school paper! :-)

I had to do a photo journal for 10 days and make a meaningful photo everyday. This was a favorite of mine.

For a photo assignment we had to do and abstraction. This is mine! I really like it...

I'm working on a photo assignment called "Monet" where I take pictures of the same thing at different times of the day, in different weather, throughout the semester. Well, I decided to do two; one of an old house out in the potato fields and another is of my roommate standing in the middle of a field. Through out the semester the field will grow and change, the weather and the time of day will change the picture and Jaime will wear different colors. This picture just looks awesome! I'm really happy with how it turned out.

BEAUTIFUL

Alyssa and her friends, Amanda and Michelle decided to go to Mormon Prom (which is a prom put on by our church that is free and totally wholesome and uplifting) together. Thwy spent the entire afternoon getting ready and when they were finished, they were beautiful!

Karmee worked really hard on everyone's hair. She just recently learned how to do up do's and they turned out really nicely. =D

Nicole's hair turned out very elegent with her curls falling around her french twist.

Alyssa's hiar is so curly it was easy to fix up in a gorgeous, giant mass of ringlets.

Michelle's mother did her hair before she came over and she looks very pretty with her older sister's wedding tiara pertched on the top of her head.

They look so nice after everyone is ready to go, and the weather was perfect for picture taking.

They are so excited to get going, plus they like showing off their new hair styles.

All their hair turned out quite elegent, even though it took several hours.

READY TO GO!

Sweet Sixteen!!!

How is it possible that Alyssa is 16 years old? We celebrated her birthday with a party and it was a success!! Recipe for success: Take a bunch of teenagers, add pizza and a trampoline then let them entertain themselves.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALYSSA!!!

Pizza!! mm mm mm delish!!
That's Jacob saying, "Yeah, I'm the party pooper! I just eat and run!!" haha.

Let's see how many people we can possibly fit onto our trampoline! Scary, but fun.

Happy Birthday Austin

It is a tradition in our family to have special birthday parties on year 8, year 12, and year16. Austin turned 12 on January 22 and he celebrated by taking his best friend Jake Wagner to the Family Fun Center.

We had pizza, pop, and make your own icecream sundays.

This is Austin's icecream sunday. If you like icecream smothered with candy and cookies this is the icecream sunday for you.

Dale and I enjoyed watching the boys play, and play, and play, and play!! I think that they enjoyed the day!!

Austin got sick while flipping over and over on the trampoline.

And they were very serious about their arcade games.

The go carts are always a favorite, around and around and around and around!

At The Beach!!!

One of our favorite things to do on the west coast is to go to the beach. The weather was beautiful on this trip and we decided to have a sand castle building contest. It was the Boys against the Girls. So the contest began and we all worked very hard to have the best, most amazing sand castle ever!!

Karmee and Alyssa worked together to dig a deep moat around their foundation. Karmee took on the brunt of the work shoveling it all out and Alyssa followed behind her, making it look just right.

Austin was very competative, doing his best in order to prove how good he really is. Austin and Dale really make a great team together.

Brrrr!! that water was COLD!!

Austin's and Dale's castle was one of the most unique sand castles I'd ever seen! Well fortified with a twisting road, complete with look out points, winding it's way around the mountain, leading up to the intimidating castle keep.

Karmee, Alyssa and Mom worked hard on their castle, building it in the classic style, (with a really great moat). Their's was also equipped with a fort and farm lands which the main castle ruled over.

Alyssa and Dad were both pretty tired after
finishing the contest. We all agreed it was a draw. Both castles had their own unique qualities, but they were equal in their greatness. (Plus, that way no feelings were hurt. =D)

When we were all finished we asked some random person running on the beach to take a picture of us all together with the ocean in the background. (She was very nice about it. Said it gave her a good excuse to stop running and take a break for a moment.) We had fun, but by the end we were all ready to go back to the beach house and enjoy some time inside they nice warm family room all curled up in blankets and ready to enjoy a movie together.
